Traveling is the best way to set a giant reset button on life.
I was feeling all sorts of uninspired before a quick trip to Montreal, but I came back with a fresh set of eyes and a new perspective on things.
My husband's family and I spent one day unexpectedly climbing Mount Royal for the most amazing city views. We also wandered downtown, ate delicious food, I tried my hand at speaking French, and we enjoyed Canadian things like maple butter ice cream and poutine. Not a bad way to spend a long weekend.
The air bnb we stayed in had incredible views, let alone a fantastic pool on the 10th floor balcony! More than one night was spent with a glass of wine in hand and a dip in the pool. One of my favorite nights was actually spent cooking in and relaxing on the patio. Take me back!
On our way to and from Montreal we stopped in Burlington, VT. I would love to spend a few days exploring Vermont a bit more, but I'm super grateful we had the chance to stop there briefly! Can we just talk about how gorgeous Lake Champlain is? Ugh.
What's your favorite way to spend vacation? Are you more of an adventurer or a relaxer?
