And so it continues. Packing, buying, designing and moving. Our Boston apartment is in terrible condition as I start and fail at finishing packing all of our crap. I've started in the bedroom and kitchen and have very little motivation to finish. I love planning and designing the new place, but who enjoys the physical PACKING? Ugh. Of course, it's even more difficult to pack when there's a Roseanne marathon on.
Not only am I packing my apartment, I'm also helping close up the Fort Point Twelve Chairs' location and helping open up our new location in the South End. I'm moving an apartment and home-decor shop in the same weekend. I feel as though I need to clone myself in order to finish all this up.
Luckily, I am the "significant other" to my best friend, Amber. She works at Urban Outfitters and they let you extend your discount to a friend every now and again. Recently, Anthropologie shared their discount with us and Brandon and I bought and abundance of adorable goodies for our new place. We got 40% off of towels, shelving, flatware, cutlery, and random decorative items. It's currently being shipped, but I can't wait to show you how it'll look in Providence.
I've been using Brandon's studio (sorry Brandon!) as a testing room for ideas on displaying and storing our books and decor items. We have almost no surfaces, so I'm struggling with ideas. Do any of you have any advice?
Not all of it has been stressful though! My managers, Miggy + Roisin, were kind enough to give me this adorable print for a house-warming gift! It's made in London and framed in an FSC wood-frame by a local framer. How cute is it?
