I'm so excited to share this event with you all! I hosted my first ever real-life "Friendsgiving", and it was full of friends, flowers, and food! My friend Ellie Huntress snapped some great "before" pictures of the little details throughout the night. I'm so thankful she helped me out! I'm living with my 'rents in their house for the interim between now and the wedding, so I was working with their kitchen seating and dining room to create a rustic vibe for everyone to share. Though I didn't curate every piece of furniture, I'll admit that it was a huge success!
The main event revolved around each guest creating a personal centerpiece for their family's Thanksgiving. I provided an assortment of Fall flowers and dried berries to share everything needed to make a masterful assortment. My friends didn't disappoint - each of their creations were unique and beautiful! I will post again to share some photos of final products and smiling faces. All of that is fine and dandy, but the real excitement was the menu.....
>baked bacon wrapped apple slices
>baked apple slices
> fruit slice kabobs
>cheese and crackers
>DIY Salad Bar
>turkey, apple, brie sandwich
>caramalized onion and fig sandwich
>cinnamon-sugar butter cookies
I had such a great time with everyone, and it got my gears turning for all sorts of future events...not to mention an annual Friendsgiving and Floral event!
