Today's weather was fantastic! I met up with some friends of mine and explored Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. It was a great way to burn off some of my Easter candy weight and see three of my best friends!
One of the things we talked about was how lucky we are to have grown up near such a pretty state park. There are certain things that you take for granted since you become so accustomed to seeing them and used to visiting them. This is probably at the top of our list. We only live about 20 minutes away from Colt State, and it's amazing.
My friends Sarah, Emily and Meagan have been around since Junior High School. It's incredible to me that my friend group has barely changed since then. I'm lucky enough to have such a tight knit group, and we all still try to get together as much as possible. Of course...work, boys, school, and life have gotten in the way a little, but we've managed to all make time for each other. Ahhh, my friends are the best. I know everyone says that, but really.....mine are.

Colt State Park is right along the Narraganset Bay. There are places to eat, lounge, ride bikes, sit along the water, and apparently do yoga.
Sarah talked me into collecting sea-glass, Emily found some seashells, and Meagan found a used condom on a stick. What an exciting collection of treasures! Hope your Monday was filled with more than mediocrity. Happy belated Easter too! Hope you bought yourself tons of half off candy today.
