Coachella may be over, but that doesn't mean Coachella style has to end! I made this cute and festive floral crown today out of kraft paper and wire. I combined a few "how-to" paper flower tutorials (like this one) to make a flowers to trim the crown.
This little detail would be perfect for summer birthdays, children parties, and the kids table at a wedding! I'm obsessed with the idea of making them for Brittany's upcoming birthday. How cute would they be for the birthday girl to wear during a BBQ celebration?

Make sure you have all your supplies before starting! If you found a floral design template, I recommend printing that out instead of hand drawing the flower-layer guides (much like I did). It'll save you a ton of time on this craft.
Step 1: After cutting up alternating sizes of floral templates, glue each one together following this template.
Step 2: Decorate your florals however you'd like! I chose one statement flower with gold leaf and some gold paper.
Step 3: Create your structure by measuring wire around the crown of your head. I twisted gold and silver wire for a mixed metal crown.
Step 4: Hide the edge of your crown under your flowers. Layer the paper flowers along the wire and hot-glue them where you'd like them to live.
Step 5: Layer a piece of kraft paper behind the flowers to a) hide the hot glue and b) add additional support to your flowers.
Step 6: Style your flower crown and try it on so you can take a million selfies to post on your blog. Release your inner flower child!
