I'm sure the ladies will hear me on this - WHY does it take so much makeup to look like you're not wearing any makeup? Like, I crave the natural look, but my skin tone is a little red, a little uneven, a little dull. It needs a little help to make it look like I "woke up this way". I thought I'd share a bit about my average, everyday beauty routine. If I had all the money in the world, I'd only be wearing all natural, fabulous, organic shiz...but until then my CVS special with a side of Follain will have to do! I've gotten it down to a science at this point.
My daily routine takes about 7 min. I clean my face, put on primer, curl my lashes while that sets, then I add foundation. I jump right to the lashes - applying mascara without overdoing it - and then I use a soft brush to add blush to compliment my apple-y cheeks! I add a little of the highlighter to my cheek bones (sometimes my forehead, chin, or nose depending on my skin that day) and then I hop on over to my brows. I always brush them out and lightly apply the pencil to my eyebrow hair. I shade, I don't draw. Lastly, I apply the natural-colored lip crayon to my lips and add some lipgloss for extra shine before covering my body in sunscreen. I've found that these shades and products help to enhance my skin tone and features instead of just covering up my problem areas.
All that work to avoid the "Are you tired?" and "You feeling OK?" questions! Ohhhhh makeup. What advice do you have for a pale lady like myself? Do you have a product that you swear by? Share your makeup tips with me! I'm a newbie.
