Happy New Year! Welcome to a fresh start, a clean slate, and a great time to put the past in, well, the past!
Brandon and I rung in our first New Years alone this year. It was a great time to celebrate the change into 2015 - the year we are getting married! But, even leaving that little detail aside our night was fabulous. We stayed at The Dean Hotel in Providence and I don't think we could say enough good things about it. I'm obsessed! Every detail of the hotel is 100 million percent my vibe.
In my mind, this photo was going to showcase the entire room, my subtle smile, and a sneaky fiance. What I didn't take into account is that it was going to be me posing. Oh well - this photo is definitely a more accurate representation of myself. From the Matouk sheets to the Edison Bulbs in the hotel room...I was estatic! It was like sleeping on a very expensive cloud in a really hip guest bedroom in your indie friend's Brooklyn apartment.
B and I clinked our (plastic) glasses at midnight after an adventurous night in the city. We were able to eat at a local pub we like and visit the Magdalenae Room - the cocktail lounge at our hotel. Let's consider this a little "staycation" in our old city. I missed Providence night life. Le-sigh...
Cuddling up in a private label Brahms Mount was one of the highlights of my night! It's a line of high-end blankets made right in Maine that Twelve Chairs carries. One of the reasons I was excited to celebrate the new year at The Dean was that is was so inspiring. It really helped me put my priorities in order and I'm excited for an exciting new year!
So what type of resolutions am I making for 2015? Well, 2015 is a huge year of change and an even bigger year of ambition for me. Not only will I be ending the year as a "Mrs", but I want to end the year as an even better person.
1) Grow in my career. This includes my job at Twelve Chairs, my blog, and working to launch jeune amour events!
2) Find a hobby to keep (or get) me in shape. I hate diets and hardcore workouts. I fail at them repeatedly! I want to learn to enjoy running, or yoga...or tennis! Anything active, really.
3) Strive to be creative. I want to challenge myself to take on more crafts, designs, and artistic activities.
What are some of your resolutions?! Hoping your New Years Eve was safe and fun. Cheers to 2015!
(P.S. Be sure to follow jeune amour on blog lovin'!)
