If you're anything like me, you probably leave some of your gift buying until very last minute. I'm kind of the Queen of procrastination. It doesn't mean I don't care....it just means I'm lazy! I perused one of my favorite blogs, A Beautiful Mess, for some great last minute gift ideas. They had some awesome gifts that I was so excited to find! I adapted their sharpie mugs to create a personalized gift for my sparkle-loving friend!
This gift takes about 30 minutes to make, and leaves you with a thoughtful, inexpensive idea for all your loved ones!

If you've ever been on Pinterest and started pinning your dream wedding, you've probably pinned something by "Style Me Pretty". SMP is the wedding blog that trumps them all! Dreamy venues, stunning brides... real life dreams. Now, one of the latest blogging brides is actually someone I know! Miss Amelia from Colour-bloc is extra stunning in her latest spread. It's a must see!
Amelia and I met back in my original Anthro intern days. We clicked over fashion, design, and the fact that she didn't shun me in my fashion-faux-pas hay day! At the time, her current fiancé and her had just started dating. This southern bell and I have crossed paths more recently than ever in the last year, and I'm head over heels to follow her wedding journey via SMP! I've been drawing inspiration since my first glance at the post. Congrats, Amelia!

Wedding planning comes with many decisions. One of them that I've struggled with is changing my last name. I've never been one to hate my name: Courtney Elizabeth Webster. It flows well, it's easy to pronounce, people rarely misspell it, and I've lived 22 years with it. You could say I'm used to it by now. Courtney Elizabeth Aguiar does not have the same ring to it. I love my fiancé to the moon and back, but I don't understand how that coincides with changing my last name. That's why, after I say, "I do", Brandon and I will leave hand in hand as Mr. Aguiar + Mrs. Webster. There's something about the sound of that that I enjoy so much more. There is so much about our wedding that is considered nontraditional in theory, and I'm OK with that. We're two very different people with very different names who want to live a very similar life side by side, day by day. We'll be a very happy Mr. and Mrs., but we'll just be a little more complicated to address on your Christmas cards.
Sometimes Oliver sits like he's a teenage girl sharing the latest gossip!
P.S. Ignore our mismatching blankets. We have to cover our sofa every night because Oliver thinks it's his personal scratching post.
Picture this: a backyard wedding, a small bridal party, a simple buffet, neutral toned DIY decor, a pretty dress, gorgeous flowers, and a happy couple. It's what I've been dreaming of since I was little. With a wedding in the works for Spring 2015, I've started prepping and planning with Brandon, and it's not quite all it's wrapped up to be.
The holidays are a time to be thankful for what you have: a great family, awesome friends, loving pets, and in my case - a new fiance as well. I completely get that it's not a time to be selfish, and to want things only for yourself. It's a time to give back to others. But hell - we all know those people will give to you as well, haha.
For the most part, only Brandon and I are exchanging gifts this Christmas. My family decided to do a "Secret Santa" amongst ourselves, and my friends and I typically just gather together for food and drinks. I wanted to share my Christmas List on the blog because I think most of these gift ideas could double as amazing host gifts, presents for family members, creative Secret Santa ideas, and even a treat for yourself.
