We've been dying to share this! As a startup shop, blog....whatever we may be.... we are happy to be able to share another start up shop! "PearseRoad" is an Etsy shop started by Dory Cooper. Courtney met Dory back in high school and they've remained in touch ever since. In addition to sharing her Etsy shop with you, you'll soon be able to purchase her items through the Budgeted Bliss shop as well! We were able to ask Dory some questions so you can learn more about some fun vintage finds and what Dory's up to! Find our interview under, "read more". Let us know what you think!
(The interview was done during the summer, so things may be a littttttle off!)
Working feet. Tired feet. Moving feet. Dirty feet. Sore feet. Big feet. Boring feet.

I'm not a very good cook. I'm pretty limited to foods that have directions listed on the box. This is probably one of the few lifestyle blogs that will share very few recipes - most that you could have figured out yourself. I was pretty proud of this cake though! Although it didn't taste all that great (booooo!), it certainly looked pretty good for my first attempt at using fondant.
By age 22, my mom had already married my father and just given birth to my oldest brother. They were renting their first place which my dad claims he fixed up to lower their rent. A few years later, my brother Corey was born and a short 3 years later, I arrived. We all got just about everything we wished for for Christmas, and we had more toys than I can even fathom at this point. My parents helped me clean my room (for far too long may I add) and I had yummy food and play dates and other stupid kid stuff. They bought their house in my hometown when I was five where we had two cars and a Barbie convertible and enough remote control monster trucks to start a club.
Long time no blog!!! Sorry folks, it's been crazy for us here at Budgeted Bliss, lots going on and little time for anything! So here's a quick what's going on from my side of things! I've been able to finally visit chez Courtney in Providence! And other than that, it just been work work work at Levi's! Expect more updates this weekend. Hope ya'll still out there reading!!
This morning I woke up to a crisp breeze, a lightly snoring boyfriend, and a sleeping lump of fur at the foot of the bed. It was the perfect start to the day!
It was a mild 65 degrees today in Providence today. Oliver has started Fall by beginning to put on weight for his Winter hibernation (I needed to give him an excuse - he's self conscious) while I've enjoyed my snacks as well because sweater weather is upon us! No more squeezing into skimpy too thin tanks! All hail the oversized sweaters and legging weather! Bring on the boots, the beanies, the baking, and my favorite: the beer.
P.S. ill be getting Internet next Thursday in the new place, so keep an eye out for posts and shop updates!
Brandon and I are all moved in. We're far from settled, but we have all of our furniture (with the exception of our sofa) in the new space. It's so exciting! The building is beautiful - just moments from the heart of the city, and it has the best amenities! I don't know how we scored this place, but it's incredible what you can get for your money in Providence as opposed to Boston. I've been dying to share photos, but I'm almost embarrassed to show how much unpacking we have to do. With the holiday weekend over, we'll be squeezing unpacking in after work. Any suggestions on how to settle in to a new place efficiently?
